ABOUT EZRA
Ezra Gentle is an award-winning writer/director with nearly two decades of filmmaking and commercial directing experience. His short film The Last Free Place garnered acclaim for Brazilian star Bianca Comparato’s first English-language role. The Soccermen, a feature documentary he co-wrote and co-produced, follows two wankers as they coach the world’s worst football team to its first-ever win.
Born in Oklahoma and raised in Namibia, Ezra developed an outsider's eye for the absurdity of American life and the laughable weight humans place on their own seriousness. As a child of divorced missionaries, he’s drawn to the people who can’t seem to practice what they preach. He hasn't lost all hope in humanity, though; he’d just rather find the humor in it.
